Classes: FAQ
Classes: Frequently Asked Questions
Are tools, clay, and aprons included in my class?
Yep! We provide every student with 25 pounds of fresh clay, use of all needed tools, and a clean apron at the start of every class session.
Can I cancel my class and receive a refund?
Yes, if you cancel at least 7 days before the class begins. If you registered for a class but can no longer attend, you must cancel at least 7 days before the beginning of your class in order to receive a full refund.
Can I postpone my 4-week class to a later date?
Yep! If you email us at least 7 days before the class begins. Unfortunately, classes cannot be rescheduled less than 7 days before the class is scheduled to begin. Please let us know us at info@wheelandfirepottery.com with the future course that you would like to enroll in, we are happy to work something out!
I registered for the wrong class, can I switch classes?
Of course! If you email us within 8 hours of your mistaken registration, we can give you a refund for the class cost (minus a $20 service fee). Please email: info@wheelandfirepottery.com
Does Wheel & Fire offer advanced or seminar-length ceramics classes?
Wheel & Fire offers advanced seminars with specialized instructors. If you are looking for an advanced wheel-throwing class that covers throwing off the hump, development of vases, handles and large-form techniques, write us a note below, and we'll contact you with more details. The seminars are 12-week classes that emphasize a series of skills and advanced throwing techniques suited to your skill level and that are only covered by multiple months-long ceramics classes. If you are interested in taking a seminar course let us know by sending us a message in the section below. Openings are limited.
Can my dog attend class?
Unfortunately, due to a lot of fragile greenware and pottery, and safety, we only allow certified service animals.
Left-behind greenware and stoneware policy for students:
Any greenware left behind following the conclusion of week 4 will be recycled to make room for the next session. If you want to save your work but are unable to come pick it up, you have the option to roll your class over into a membership. To do so, please buy a membership and write us note saying you're "rolling over" your class work. We will transfer your class work to your new membership shelf. Any bisqueware or stoneware or glazeware leftover from a class that has not been picked up at the conclusion of course will be held for 4 weeks following the conclusion of the course. After 4 weeks we have to donate them to make shelf space, unfortunately. Please see a staff member to view the storage area of the past 4 weeks.
